A Poll Worker, one of the many mechanisms necessary for a successful election, is a citizen hired or volunteering to work the polls on Election Day abiding by rules and regulations set forth governing elections.

Landfill & Recycling
Mission
Oglethorpe County Government maintains and operates a Construction & Demolition Landfill. Through partnerships with Athens-Clarke County Government, the county sends the solid waste and recycling material to their recycling center and solid-municipal waste landfill in exchange for construction and demolition waste being sent to Oglethorpe landfill as well as expansion of the solid waste landfill into Oglethorpe County.
