ABSENTEE BY MAIL APPLICATIONS

The Oglethorpe County Board of Elections Office is now accepting Absentee Ballot Applications for the General Primary to be held May 21, 2024. Applications can be found on the county election website or calling our office at 706-743-8954 and requesting an application.
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The last day to register to vote and be eligible to vote in the May 21, 2024 General Primary will be on
April 22, 2024.
LOGIC AND ACCURACY NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing and preparation of Voting equipment to be used in the May 21, 2024 General Primary will begin as early as April 15, 2024 at 9 AM (or once database has been received from the SOS Office). Testing will continue from day to day from 9AM-5PM until complete and members of the public, representatives of the parties and bodies, and news media are entitled to be present during testing, but shall not interfere in any way with such testing. Said testing and preparation will be conducted at the Board of Elections & Registration Office, 41 Fairground Road, Lexington, GA 30648.

ADVANCE VOTING PERIOD
Early voting will begin on Monday, April 29, 2024 and end on Friday, May 17, 2024
from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Board of Election & Registration office at 41 Fairground Road in Lexington, Georgia for the Presidential Preference Primary. There will be Saturday voting on May 4 and May 11, 2024. Please bring valid photo identification to vote.
GENERAL PRIMARY & NONPARTISAN
The General Primary will be on May 21, 2024.
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at your assigned polling precinct

An Audit of the May 21, 2024, General Primary & Nonpartisan Primary will begin on May 30, 2024, at the Oglethorpe County Board of Elections & Registration Office, 41 Fairground Road, Lexington, GA. This audit can be observed by the public beginning at 9 a.m. until the audit is completed. The deadline for completing the Audit is 5:00 PM on May 31, 2024.
