Background
The Oglethorpe County Economic Development Authority was created in 2014 as a statutory authority to promote and further develop trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities. The Oglethorpe County Economic Development Authority is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors which may authorize the issuance of revenue bonds to finance projects undertaken by the Authority and to set the interest rates on those issued bonds.
