Oglethorpe County Senior Center currently offers two meal programs for seniors in the county. These programs include hot lunch and frozen home delivery meals. Hot lunch is served at the Senior Center and provided by Open Hand Atlanta . Home delivered meals are provided by Open Hand Atlanta then delivered by the Center to the senior's home. The meals have been flashed froze in order to preserve the freshness as well as not to overcook the meal. Additionally, all meals are prepared with a diabetic focus. In 2017, we provided 7,338 hot lunches and 5,734 home delivered meals. To learn more information about the home delivery program and eligibility requirements, please contact the center at (706) 743-8848 or click here for email.
