A Poll Worker, one of the many mechanisms necessary for a successful election, is a citizen hired or volunteering to work the polls on Election Day abiding by rules and regulations set forth governing elections.
The Magistrate Court Cannot Provide Legal Advice.
Advance voting will be available from the fourth Monday immediately prior to each primary or election and as soon as possible prior to a runoff and will end on the Friday immediately prior to each primary, election, or runoff.
Advance voting allows you to cast your ballot in person at the Board of Elections and Registration Office on Monday through Friday prior to the Tuesday primary, election, or runoff and on the Saturday two weeks prior to the election where a federal candidate is on the ballot.
You are not required to give a reason why you are voting in advance of Election Day.
Ballots cannot be removed from the office.
You will need to present one of the six forms of photo ID.

If you do not have one of these forms of photo identification, a Georgia Voter Identification Card is available FREE of charge at the Oglethorpe County Board of Elections and Registration Office, located at 41 Fairground Road Lexington, GA; Telephone: 706-743-8954, or the Department of Driver Services Office 1505 US Highway 29 North Athens, GA.
The free Georgia Voter Identification Card is to be used for voting purposes only.
